With Feets, Don’t Fail Me Now, Herbie Hancock fuses jazz, funk and disco, delivering an innovative album that marks a new era in his sonic exploration through driving rhythms and bold synthesizers

Feets, Don’t Fail Me Now is the 22ᵉ album by jazz pianist Herbie Hancock, released in February 1979. This opus marks a turning point in his career, moving away from traditional jazz to explore electronic, funk and disco sounds. Musicians such as James Gadson (drums), Eddie Watkins (bass), Bill Summers (percussion), as well as the backing vocals of The Waters contributed to the album. Ok, Sunlight is pretty much better than this one, but it is « a good one », come on ! This release is not mainstream disco music, this is more a combination between disco, funk, and electronic music. This is not my HH favorite record, and its not the one from Hancock we will remember the best, but I really like to play it in parties, you should see the crowd then !
