About Calm and Chaos
Released in 1997, on Guidance recordings, this EP was produced, arranged and mixed by Larry Heard for Alleviated Music. I still play it sometimes, and really enjoy it because its investigates the different moods of the producer. This EP remains a bit of his early works. “So Much Joy” have the classic deep bassline and keyboards riffs, which we can easily call “Larry’s trademark”. “Freaky” proves we can dance all night long ! The B1 contains a sample of R Kelly.
