Everybody must have listened this unique talent, at least one time in his life. This gifted musician gave us many of the greatest songs, and I also suggest you to listen what he wrote for others artists such as Sam & Dave, Millie Jackson, Linda Clifford, Dionne Warwick… His best known work, for the 1971 Blaxploitation film « Shaft« , earned Hayes the first Academy Award received by an Afro-American in non acting category and two Grammy Arward. He received a third Grammy for the album Black Moses.
If you don’t know him so much, I let you to be curious and discover more by yourself. As I do, I hope you will take great pleasure listening to his work, to this huge career even he passed away in an early age.
